Every summer, parents face the same question: What is my child going to do with all this time? And every summer, the default answers are the same. Screen time. Boredom. The occasional park trip. Rinse and repeat until September.
This summer, CAICC is offering something different. The Young Tech Innovator Summer Program runs from June 9 to July 24, 2026, and it is designed for students in grades 6 through 12 who are ready to spend their summer doing something worthwhile with their hands.

What They Will Learn
The curriculum covers six tracks: AI and cloud computing, cybersecurity and ethical hacking, app development, robotics, quantum computing, and entrepreneurship and innovation.
Students will work on real projects, make mistakes, fix them, and develop skills that transfer directly to the careers that are growing fastest right now.
They Will Build a Real Robot
Robotics is a new addition to this year's programme, and it is exactly what it sounds like. Students will not just learn about robotics; they will build one. They will wire it, programme it, test it, fix it when it does not work the first time, and then watch it move.
For most of them, it will be the first time they have ever built something mechanical and digital at the same time.

There Is a Field Trip
Beyond the classroom, students will go on a field trip, a live experience of technology in a real-world environment. The goal is to let young people see the tools they have been working with in a professional context, and to help them understand that these are not just classroom exercises. This is the world they are preparing to enter.

Every Student Gets a Free Laptop
Every participant in the Young Tech Summer Program receives a laptop that is theirs to keep. CAICC made this decision because access to tools should not be the thing that determines who gets to learn. When the programme ends, the learning does not have to.
The Entire Programme Is Free
The Young Tech Summer Program is free for qualifying families. No tuition. No registration fee. It is funded through grants and sponsors who believe that access to quality tech education should not depend on what a family can afford. Your job is simply to register your child before spots fill up.

Registration is open now. The programme runs from June 9 through July 24, with a registration deadline of May 19.
