Creative & Performing Arts
A community driven platform for African and African American creatives to learn, perform, and grow
About the Creative & Performing Arts Program
The CAICC Creative & Performing Arts program is designed to showcase all expressions of African and African American arts and crafts which includes poetry, music, literature, drawing, painting, dancing, drama, sculpture and other talents.
This program was developed in response to a need we observed in our demographic. Through our involvement and the data we have collected from our community, we realized the lack of support and growing irrelevance for the arts and its importance as a fundamental part of African culture.
Objectives of the Program
• Create monthly programs that give room for the performances and display of our art, crafts and talents.
• Provide support for those in the community that are interested in learning and developing their talents.
• Provide support for existing artists to improve and master their craft.
• Giving a voice and platform to artists in the community to showcase their works and share their stories.
• Help develop beginner, intermediate and advanced arts, crafts and talents identified to make them useful in our community.
• Develop curricula that teach step by step processes and other training materials relevant.
• Promote interest within the community for creative and performing arts.
• And much more

Empowering Youth Through the Arts and Creativity
In partnership with Denver Metro school districts, including Aurora, Denver, and Cherry Creek, Colorado African Innovation & Cultural Center (CAICC) delivers a 10 to 12 week, school based Creative and Performing Arts initiative that connects youth with professional artists in music production, dance, and cultural design. The program is designed to foster cultural pride, creative confidence, and meaningful mentorship while expanding students’ exposure to viable creative career pathways
A cornerstone of the initiative is CAICC’s Fashion Show Hub, developed through partnerships with local African fabric and print designers. This platform celebrates African fashion and cultural storytelling while supporting creative entrepreneurship
About The Creative & Performing Arts Program
Under the Creative and Cultural Arts Program, and as part of this cultural education initiative, CAICC will engage students across different schools and community spaces, creating opportunities to educate and inspire participants through African culture, history, and artistic expression

Amplifying Voices. Preserving Heritage. Inspiring the Next Generation
The Creative & Performing Arts program creates meaningful pathways for youth and artists to explore creativity, build confidence, and connect with culture. Through workshops, performances, and mentorship, we transform artistic expression into tools for empowerment, healing, and community unity
